NOTICE TO MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS MEDICAL COUNCIL OF GUYANA Practitioners are reminded that in order to practice medicine and surgery in Guyana you must be licensed to do so in accordance with Part 111, section 8:2 of the Medical Practitioners Act 1991. It must be noted that Part 111,section 8:4 states a person who practices as a medical practitioner without having been registered under this section shall be guilty of an offense punishable or summary conviction by a fine of thirty thousand and a further fine of fifteen hundred dollars for each day he so practices.
